  1. Aella Khryseis says:

What are the meanings of the names Irena, Mira, and Myrna?

    • The outer dwarf names I added are ether old norse or icelandic, not khuzdul, as is the custom.
If you want to find their meaning, I’m sure you would be able to find a site that caters to finding the meaning of names, it’s not my specialty at all I’m afraid.
Though, I think that Irena means “peace” (based on old greek if not mistaken).

      • Baudhaegas says:

Correct, Irene means Peace in Greek. I think Mira is either wonder (root for Mira-cle), or spelled as Myra it is related to the Greek word myrrho, ie. myrrh. Myrna is from Irish or Celtic mythology. Most interesting of these is probably Mira as it also relates to the Hebrew word for light, which would be interesting as a name for a dwarf female, metaphorically at least.

  2. Jeanie says:

You could add the old Norse name Geisli, meaning sunbeam.

What’s a good female dwarf name for a funny but violent dwarf?
